[The video opens, and the viewer looks into what seems to be a room filled with books. Stacks of book are piled everywhere, some practically falling down from the top of their stacks. The camera itself seems to be turned a bit sideways, as if the camera has fallen over. Daniel is nowhere to be seen, but a distinct sobbing can be heard in the background. After a while, a voice can be heard.]
Charlotte... Charlotte... Why, why couldn't I save her? Why did she have to...
[The voice breaks off, and Daniel comes on camera; however, he doesn't seem to notice it and walks back and forth in front of it. He's holding his head in his hands, and keeps sobbing.]
I mean...why did she have to go...I...loved her! I promised...I promised I would keep her safe...
[He sits down on a pile of books.]
Why did these memories have to come back? I...don't want to remember how she died! I don't want to...I want to remember only the good times with her...
[He takes a journal from a nearby stack and starts flipping through it, his face set in a pained look. He opens up his mouth as if he's going to say something more, but suddenly something black falls in front of the camera, and the transmission ends.]
